Moose River Gold Mines - Eastern Shore - Located in one of Nova Scotia's earliest gold mining regions, the park marks the site of the 1936 Moose River Mine Disaster. Salt Springs - Northumberland Shore - Nestled against the banks of the West River, Salt Springs Provincial Park makes a great stopover for visitors to this region of the province. Sand Hills Beach - South Shore - At low tide there are wide sand flats which warm the water when the tide comes back in. Spectacular sand dune system backs the beach area.
