Park Info:Whether you want to swim, search for sea shells, or just spend the day relaxing in the sun, Rissers Beach Provincial Park offers every kind of recreational opportunity available at the seaside.
Some of the features of the park include a kilometre long white sand beach and Interpretation Centre and boardwalk along an inland marsh.
Facilities and Services
The park offers two campgrounds with a total of 93 sites, including 19 electrical and water sites. The park also features picnic areas, and a large supervised beach. There is a canteen and change house with showers adjacent to the beach. Both campgrounds have water outlets and trailer dump stations. The North Rissers campground, while not on the ocean, offers washrooms with showers and a playground.

Make it a beach day and bring your bathing suit, buckets and shovels! Create a sand sculpture with your friends or family for the Sand Castle Competition. Fun to watch, but more fun to participate. There will also be a variety of beach activities and games for families. Create your own cardboard boat to race in the water (ages 13+) which takes place at 3 PM at the Petite Riviere Channel. Donations for PRO Kids welcome. Participants are asked to meet near the lifeguard chair. Dress for weather conditions and bring sunscreen, water and snacks. Lifeguards and Junior Lifeguards will be competing in various Lifesaving Sport Events. The competition includes swimming, running, rescue and lifesaving craft events. Pre-registraton is required with a registration fee of $20/person. Sponsored by the Nova Scotia Lifeguard Service.
